Sumiko's new flagship open-architecture moving coil cartridge builds on the strengths and resonance-reducing body design of the Songbird, but presents a long-grain boron cantilever and a MicroRidge stylus. This enables the Starling to render the grandeur of an orchestra while preserving air and space. It realizes every detail of a Jazz recording with its responsive dynamics and deep silences. The Starling is able to effortlessly handle the most demanding passages with pose and convincing drive with strong mechanical silence.
