Large example, over 2” height of omega form. Circular top with large raised edge triangular terminals decorated in roped figure eights. These are specifically single line figures and simply addorsed circles. The use of roped or spiral members and the configuration indicate a spiritual significance.  When fastened to the jerkin, these small metal brooches provided a measure of protection against sword cuts and, in fact, were a form of armor.  In addition to being more decorative, examples of this form provided added protection with the trailing tails.
